Expressive concision such as your, Ibliss, bears repeating :)

weirdly, para, my own "diving" has led me to the "surface" of things. It′s all there, on the surface, and there is only surface :) perhaps thinking there is a ′deep′ is what deludes us in the first place . . . .
nice to read you again, too. I hope you still have good pairs of kitty socks . . . . :)

Hi!
"Not too deep.-- People who comprehend a thing to its very depths rarely stay faithful to it forever. For they have brought its depths into the light of day: and in the depths there is always much that is unpleasant to see." -Nietzsche ( Human all too Human )

issness has no surface, no depth, no inner nor outer

the inner as the outer and the outer as the inner and
the above as the below, and when you make the male and
female into a single one ..." G.O.T.

yes, is-ness, para. everything is. right. there.
but we really must do something about no kitty socks . . . an unacceptable "is not"! :)
Ibliss, perhaps say something about the thoughts you draw from "political protest" and "duality"? We could start there . . . .

I′m sure we don′t have to pass with time, but that′s just me! There must be others who think this, but how can I find them?! :-D
I′ll just be quiet for a bit and put on a track...

It′s hard to say all at once, Zoe. But I′ll start by saying that the intent to protest creates a sense of self in a crowd - a public solitude with a purpose, and a bridge between the chaos that is protest, and the unimaginable city of truth that is tomorrow, if you know what I mean.

As to duality, it revolves mainly around women. The desire to bond and be bonded, and the call of singledness - the deep attachment and the potent distraction, the gnawing fear of letting go and the joy of having a warm being behind you - what can illustrate duality better?

I can′t help thinking of the catholic monk, Thomas Merton, for some reason, Ibliss. Your dualities remind me of the anguish he went through trying to decide whether to engage in and with the world at every possible proactive level (he lived and flourished during the Vietnam war era), or to retreat to the Gethsemane monastery in Kentucky, USA and pursue the richness of solitude, in commerce only with the spirit. So he went back and forth, one extreme to the other.
For myself these days, Ibliss, I grow extraordinarily more and more averse to "modernity" and all that it entails. I sound like an old fart now. I can′t get enough woodland, air, quiet, and I can′t get far enough away from everything else . . . . then like Merton, I am suddenly and fully engaged with both feet right in the middle of the marketplace . . . .
dualities . . . .
para might rightly tell us there′s no such thing . . . :)

How interesting Zoe. One of my happiest moments ever was on a train station near Malaga, - the train segued into a solitary branch and we have stepped out, or have spitted ourselves out, into an empty halt. The train left and its milk brother wasn′t coming back until half an hour later. The sun was settling on the rails, the entirely crowdless station was sitting in the middle of nowhere - sheer bliss, a unity of time and space, - and I wonder how swiftly you′ve been able to get the core of the duality I was talking about. Of course there′s no such thing, but the halt was beyond description. I find myself stuck in a big, flabby city right now - and sometimes the coffee, the hallways full of dressed-up bodies, the smell of money shifting its weight across the streets do the trick for me, - but how sweet the platform had been.
I wonder what could bring unity here. Is it the consort? The grind of fatherhood? The acceptance of mortality? Or, perhaps, and the fishiest of all - an adherence to a higher purpose?
