The cycle of the precession of the equinoxes is calculated to be , as you say about 26,000 years ( actually it is 25,765 years the so called Great or Platonic year,)
If the entire galaxy were to revolve in that time it would fly apart very very quickly indeed .

The real interest is the alignment and the time leading up to it and falling away beyond December 2012.
The frequency of the Earth, called the Shumann resonance, has been increasing since 1987 from 7.8 Hz to today where it is about 12 Hz. It will peak at about 13 Hz. The Earth′s gravity on the other hand is getting weaker in proportion until such time it will reach nearly zero and then begin to increase again. This phenomena changes the energy barrier that normally prevents certain cosmic data (in the form of light) from reaching the Earth not to mention that the Great Crossing event itself re;eases energy in magnificent proportions. When this light reaches the Earth it will either pass through, be absorbed or cause damage to the cells that it interacts with, thus the scientific and spiritual speculation.
I find that most folks I have met are either not aware of this or consider it bogus because the source does not follow our preferred mechanical control paradigm. When you learn that most major airports have had to adjust their navigational and communication settings which were previously based on 7.8 Hz, that the US government has colluded with Japan and Russia on the HAARP technology project project which is both a weapon system and an Earth stabilization system (about 60 miles above the Earth) and that nearly every indigenous culture makes reference to this time (the close of a galactic cycle), the ever apparent change in ecological consciousness worldwide and the recalibration of political and social systems worldwide as well, it seems that something amazing this way comes.
